Breeding

Most importantly use separate tank around 10 gallon for breeding. Add at least 1-2 males in group and feed fish with live food such as brine shrimps. Moreover, keep the light dim, maintain water at 75F and gradually raise it to 80F for spawning. Water should be soft and acidic and add fined leaves to encourage spawning and to protect eggs.
After spawning remove the adult fish to protect the fry. Eggs will hatch in 22-26 hours, and in 3-4 days fry will emerge. Feed them with fry food such as new hatched brine shrimps and flakes.
