Endlers Livebearers is commonly known as Endler among aquarist. The scientific name of this specie is Poecilia wingei, originate from Paria Peninsule(Venezuela). This fish belongs to the family of Poecilia. These are hybrid, colorful, and easy to find in stores specie typically known as endlers guppy.
This colorful fish was first collected in 1937 from Laguna de Patos (Venezuela) by Frankly F. Bond. Endler then in1975 rediscover by Dr. John Endler, after which this specie is name as Endler. This person then introduced this fish in aquarium trade for the first time.

Appearance of Endlers Livebearers
Endler livebeares are active, hardy and have friendly nature, ideal for new fish keepers. The body shape of fish is slender and elongated, have pointed nose and upturned mouth. Endler is distinctive due to its vibrant colors and pattern. When it comes to its base color, have tennis silver color. Moreover, male members of this specie are more vibrant in color as compared to females. Whereas females have rounded bodies and paler color. The dorsal fins of fish are smaller than guppy’s fins.
This Poecilia wingei is from the family of Poecilia. It’s an ideal beginner fish, known because of its slender profile and tennis silver coloration. Moreover, when it comes to its size Endler males are 1 inches (2.5cm) long in length. Whereas, females are 1.8 inches long and in centimeters this fish is 4.5cm in length. This fish is little smaller like its cousin Guppy. Moreover, this specie can lives for about 2-3years in normal conditions and 5 years in ideal conditions.

Endlers Livebearers are ideal beginner fish, they are active, hardy and good for home aquariums. Moreover, they can live wide range of water condition which is not good for other community fish. Keep them at room temperature in aquarium with heater.
However, the ideal tank size 5-10 gallon due to its tiny size. It is suggested that for a trio, one male and two female 10 gallon size is prefer. And for 20 gallon at least 6-9 endlers hould be added in this.
Temperature or pH level
Endlers livebearers are originate from Paria Peninsule(Venezuela), they can live in room temperature water. The pH level for water is 6.5-8.5 with the parameters of 75-85 degree fahrenhiets. Morover, they affected by bacteria and fungal infection is the water is acidic.
For maintaining water conditions, water quality should be good and change water daily. Use good quality water filters in aquarium to keep your fish healthy and safe. As they are sensitive fish, tank should have clean environment, moderate hard water with alkaline pH.
Feeding
Endlers livebearers not picky eater, eat every food. They have small mouth so they prefer to eat pellets, Repashy gel food, flakes and daphina. They also prefer to pick algae if they are very hungry. Make sure to provide them with the wide variety of food, to overcome nutrient deficiency, to keep healthy and boost their immune system to showcase their vibrant colors.
Breeding
For breeding, Endlers livebearers water should be clean, feed them good food and should have at least one fish of both genders. Then depending on the temperature the babies will start appearin in 23 to 30 days. To protect the fry from predators provide them with lot of covers like aquarium decoration and dense plants like water sprite for the safety and survival of fry. For the safety of babies make sure to use sponge filter so that don’t suck up.
