Siamese cats come from Thailand, which they usually call ‘Siam’. This breed originated between the14th – 18th century. However, the Siamese Cat Club was in England in 1901 and the breed was officially recognize by the Cat Fancier Association in 1906. 

First Siamese Cat came to the U.S in 1978. Back then, Seal Point was the only official color, but now several other colors are also officially here in the market. 

How Seal Point Siamese Gained Popularity?

The seal point siamese cat became popular in England in 1885, after being brought up there by a British man named  Edward Blencowe. Moreover, a pair and their kitten were shown at a cat show and people loved their friendly nature and unique look. 

 More Siamese were brought to the UK and bred. Even though they were rare, they became well known and were officially recognized by the Cat Fancier’s Association 20 years later.

Appearance:

A Seal Point Siamese cat is characterized by light cream or fawn colored bodies, with dark brown points on their ears ,nose, tail and paws. They are known for their sleek, medium sized bodies, long legs and narrow paws. They have almond shaped blue eyes.

One of the best ways is to look for known and trusted breeders, specifically those working with cat associations like TICA or CFA. While these kittens may cost more, depending upon the status of their parents, you are really paying for your peace.
